A film screening “Brothers in Arms” takes place in the U.S.

On Sunday, February 1 and on Monday, February 2, St. Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral (Silver Spring, MD) and Kennan Institute, Woodrow Wilson Center (Washington, DC) hosted a film screening “Brothers in Arms” featuring episodes shot by a team of Ukrainian filmmakers right at the front lines of aggression-affected areas in the eastern regions of Ukraine in summer 2014.

The events were co-organized by Equites Humanitarian and Cultural Fund and US-Ukraine Foundation with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States of America.

The events’ speakers included former Ambassador of the U.S. to Ukraine William Green Miller, Minister-Counselor and Deputy Chief of Ukraine’s Mission to the U.S. Yaroslav Brisiuck and Equites Fund’s representatives: film director and producer, radio host Constantin Mohilnik, independent producer Yaroslav Ovsiienko, and producer and host of Studio Washington show of the Voice of America Tetiana Vorozhko. After the screening, the team of filmmakers had a discussion with the guests of the events in a form of Q&A sessions.

Funds raised during the screening in Silver Spring are intended to support displaced people from aggression-affected areas of eastern Ukraine.

On January 28, “Brothers in Arms” was screened in Columbia University (NYC). The screening will be organized also in Philadelphia and Chicago.
